I went down memory lane mostly due to my last post; I looked up a blog account that somehow survived the weather of time and had about a dozen posts remaining. It had more, but I couldn’t remember what exactly happened to them. I chuckled at some of my ramblings, insights and life experience back then. I almost double the age I was back then and I can’t help but felt grateful for how my mind worked when I gave it the chance to be mindful.
I mentioned my favorite feeling was nostalgia when I was only barely into my twenties. I wasn’t too far off from what I prefer in my older years—melancholy. I just didn’t know the word yet back then, but nostalgia was, and still is, a large part of my top 3 emotions. There’s something about looking back at experiences that moves me forward.
As embarrassing and as how I used to write, those experiences brought me where I am today. With that, I present something I wrote over 20 years ago about being nostalgic.
I smile in remembrance of my bittersweet life-path I've walked through.
I move forward into the future with these experiences.
In the end, the past will be nothing more than memories.
My stories are my past, and my past are my stories.
The tangible, the lovable, the memorable...
I am who I am...
ironic... nostalgic
